Photography has been an interest of mine for most of my life, but never taken serious until the back end of 2022.
Some of my earliest memories involve me running around with my fathers old Pentax SLR, pressing the shutter and setting of the flash, pretending to take photos. Then again as a young teen, being gifted a Kodak film camera with a plastic underwater housing to try to use while I was in the water bodyboarding.
Fast forward a decade and I purchased a GoPro Hero 3 in 2012 to once again use while on the bodyboard to take footage from inside the barrel. A couple of busted noses later this was given up as well.
It took until 2020 to be inspired enough through photographs from instagram (Thank you Nicholas Klynsmith www.hyperventilatingeyes.com) to go out and purchase my first 'Toy camera' - a Nikon D5600 - to see if I might enjoy it. Since the day that camera arrived, I have been hooked.
In late 2022 I decided to take things a little bit more seriously. I had upgraded my equipment, invested in myself through courses, both online and in person, as well as countless hours on youtube.
In 2024 I created this portfolio to display my favourite shots in a larger format than instagram, and to hopefully grow to reach new viewers.
I hope you enjoy the pictures, because I have enjoyed creating them.
